Terms of service

These terms cover every service Work Automates sells: AI search visibility, AI receptionist, business automation, websites and AI assistants. Work Automates is a sole trader business operated by Andrew Silvester in Avalon 2107, Northern Beaches, Sydney NSW. Last updated 2026-08-22.

Quotes and what's included

Every engagement starts with a written quote listing the work, the price and the timeframe. Prices shown on this site are starting points, not fixed offers, and every price excludes GST. The quote is what binds us, and it's valid for 30 days.

Work outside the quote gets its own quote before I start it. One-off builds and sprints include two rounds of revisions on what was quoted; further changes are quoted separately. Third-party costs — Twilio messages, Make.com subscriptions, Claude API usage, domains, hosting, ad spend — are yours and billed at cost unless the quote says otherwise.

Payment

One-off work is 50% on acceptance of the quote and 50% on delivery. Monthly retainers are billed in advance on the same date each month. Invoices are due within 7 days. If an invoice is more than 14 days overdue I may pause work until it's settled, and I'll tell you before I do.

Your responsibilities

You need to give me the information and access the work depends on — content, photos, prices, logins — within a reasonable time. If a project stalls waiting on you for more than 60 days, I may invoice for the work completed and close it out.

You confirm that anything you give me to publish is yours to publish, and that the information about your business is accurate. I won't publish claims I can't verify, and I won't publish fake reviews, invented statistics or testimonials that didn't happen.

Refunds and cancellation

Monthly retainers can be cancelled at any time with 30 days' written notice by email. You pay for the notice period, work continues through it, and there's no exit fee and no lock-in contract. Any month already paid for is not refunded, because the work for that month is done or in progress.

One-off sprints and builds are fully refundable before work begins. Once work has started but before delivery, you get a refund of the deposit less the hours already worked, itemised. After delivery there is no refund, because the work exists and it's yours.

If something I've delivered doesn't do what the quote said it would, that's not a refund question — tell me and I'll fix it at no charge. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

I can also end an engagement with 30 days' notice, refunding anything paid for work not yet done. I may end it immediately if asked to do something dishonest or unlawful.

Ownership and access

When your invoices are paid, the content, website files and automation configurations built for you are yours. Systems run in accounts you own wherever possible, and you get the documentation. I keep the right to reuse my own general methods, templates and code libraries, which are not specific to your business.

I may mention that I've worked with you, but I won't publish your figures, documents or internal information without your say-so.

What I don't promise

Nobody can guarantee an AI citation, a search ranking, a number of leads or a revenue figure, and anyone who promises one is lying to you. I promise the work described in the quote, done properly, with evidence you can check.

Services that depend on third parties — Twilio, Make.com, Anthropic, Google, your hosting — can be interrupted by those third parties. I'll fix what I can as fast as I can, but I'm not liable for their outages. My total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid me in the three months before it arose, except where the law says otherwise.

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. Questions about any of it: hello@workautomates.com.
