A one-person agency on Sydney's Northern Beaches. No team, no account managers, no junior handed your account in month three.

I'm Drew. I run Work Automates from Avalon on Sydney's Northern Beaches. It's one person: me. I build and run every system myself, on Twilio, Make.com and the Claude API. No team, no account managers, no junior handed your account in month three. When you call 0457 123 512, I answer.
2 years building websites and back-office systems for small businesses.
Background
The work started the ordinary way: friends with trades businesses asking why their website did nothing, and why they were still typing job details into three places. Fixing that turned out to be more useful than anything I'd built before, so it became the job.
Since then it's been the same kind of customer — sole operators and small teams around the Northern Beaches and greater Sydney, the sort of business where the owner is on the tools and also doing the invoicing at nine at night. That shapes how I work. Systems have to run without supervision, and explanations have to fit in a phone call.
The AI search visibility work grew out of that too. Customers started arriving saying "ChatGPT recommended someone else", and it became obvious that the way people find a local business had changed while most local business websites hadn't.
The stack
Twilio for phone numbers and SMS. Make.com for the plumbing between tools. The Claude API for the parts that need reading and judgement. Websites are built as fast, server-rendered pages rather than page-builder templates, so both people and AI engines can read them.
I use boring, well-supported tools on purpose. Everything runs in accounts you own where it can, so you're never hostage to a platform I control. If you ever want to take it in-house or hand it to someone else, the documentation goes with you.
How I work
Fixed quote before anything starts. One thing at a time, working, before we talk about the next thing. No lock-in contracts: retainers run month to month with 30 days' notice. If something I'd build wouldn't earn its cost back, I'll say so and we won't build it.
I don't promise rankings, citations or a number of leads, because nobody can honestly promise those. I promise the work described, done properly, with evidence you can check every month.
